San Diego, CA., June 20, 2019 – TechFlow, a forward-thinking logistics and digital services solutions company, today announced it has been selected by the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Technology Transformation Service (TTS) to maintain and improve its award-winning cloud.gov platform.
TTS builds, provides and shares technology applications, platforms, and software solutions to federal agencies in an effort to help them better serve the public. cloud.gov was built by GSA’s 18F digital services team in 2015 as a PaaS offering which allows agencies to build and host applications in a cloud environment that meets federal security compliance requirements under a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FEDRAMP) Joint Authorization Board (JAB) Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) at the moderate level. This enables cloud.gov’s 40 government clients, spread across 15 agencies, to significantly speed up the development and the deployment of cloud applications leading to faster government modernization efforts.
“We are pleased that GSA has placed their trust in TechFlow to support this award-winning platform,” said Greg Godbout, TechFlow Chief Digital Officer. “Too often the ability to meet federal security requirements and lack of deployment automation slows down the pace of innovation in government. There is no question security is paramount and cloud.gov is a world-class government shared solution for secure continuous delivery.”
cloud.gov is built on Cloud Foundry’s open source ecosystem. This contract will continue to support cloud.gov’s security posture, FEDRAMP Authorization and extensibility for modernization. In addition, TechFlow will be troubleshooting any unexpected behaviors, looking for ways to further automate the platform, and working to improve the platform’s resiliency.
“We are excited to use our Cloud Foundry expertise to grow this platform to serve even more agencies and promote modernization initiatives throughout government to improve efficiencies, support key missions, and better serve the American people,” said Mark Carter, TechFlow President and COO. “As a company, we are committed to keeping ourselves and our customers ‘Always Ahead’. This contract allows us to play a major role in supporting those who want to move government ahead.”
“TechFlow has a long history with GSA,” said Robert Baum, TechFlow CEO. “We have partnered with them over many years modernizing their operations and building their cloud infrastructure. We are thrilled to be appointed the chief architect, developer and caretaker responsible for taking this incredibly important platform to the next level.”
